About Me

I'm Mateo Sciscento, an Economics and Spanish graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a background in esports production and a growing passion for computer science and game development. My goal is to become a gameplay systems engineer, combining my experience in competitive gaming with technical problem-solving and programming.

Outside of work and coding, I'm an avid Real Madrid and tennis fan. You'll usually find me running, playing tennis, or yelling at Madrid during a match.

Professional Experience

Gaming Generations

As a Production Lead at Gaming Generations, I plan and execute large-scale competitive events with over 10,000 attendees, collaborating with major brands such as Pokémon, Star Wars, and Disney. I also provide real-time Spanish translation to support international competitors.

HyperX Arena Las Vegas

I served as a Tournament Organizer and Event Coordinator at HyperX Arena Las Vegas, overseeing tournament operations, staffing, and event logistics while collaborating with organizations including the American Red Cross and Amazon.

Internship

I interviewed business executives, shadowed consultants, and researched the business models and competitive strategies of leading Spanish companies.

Silver State Esports

My esports career began at Silver State Esports, where I served as Vice President and Tournament Organizer, working with more than 30 high schools to establish competitive gaming opportunities for thousands of students across the Las Vegas Valley
